Citrus Orchard Memberships



Children happily decorate birdhouses with bright colors and put their names on them.

Together with their mothers, they hang these lovingly made birdhouses on their very own citrus trees.

They also share the joy of the harvest by picking the fruit directly from the trees.

The tree looks even more beautiful, and thinking about birds coming to live here makes me feel happy and makes me want to come back and see it again.


This family, having purchased a membership, enjoys a year’s worth of benefits from the orchard, including citrus harvesting, gardening, barbecue parties, and camping.

The farmers take care of essential tasks like pest control to ensure the healthy growth of citrus trees.

Although an annual membership costs about 500,000 won, it’s popular among families who do not have the time to commit to regular weekend farming.

I lived in Seoul before moving here 10 years ago. Since I don’t own a citrus farm and didn't know much about how citrus grows, getting to know this farm and receiving a tree to show and experience with my son, including the provision of a garden, was a great opportunity.


From the farmers' perspective, selling memberships guarantees a steady income.

Running seasonal programs like walking along citrus flower paths, not just during the citrus harvest season, can help attract members and keep them coming back.

Experience farms are often one-time visits for citrus picking. To make them more sustainable, I created spaces for people to rest and heal throughout the year. Members can also see citrus flowers, prune branches, and apply treatments in non-citrus seasons.

감귤원도 회원권 시대?… "우리 감귤나무"



아이들과 함께 예쁜 색을 칠하고 이름을 적어 나무 새장을 만듭니다.

정성스럽게 만든 새장은 엄마와 함께 자신들만의 감귤 나무에 매답니다.

나무에 달린 감귤을 아이들과 직접 따면서 수확의 기쁨도 나눕니다.

나무가 더 예뻐 보이고 여기에 새가 와서 산다고 생각하면 또 기분도 좋아지고 또 와서 보고 싶고...


회원권을 구입한 이 가족은 1년 동안 감귤 수확뿐만 아니라 텃밭 가꾸기와 바베큐 파티, 캠핑 등 과수원에서 제공하는 다양한 혜택을 누립니다.


해충 방제 등 감귤 생육에 필요한 관리는 농가가 맡습니다.

연간 50만원 가량을 주고 구매하는 회원권이지만 주말 농장처럼 자주 시간을 낼 수 없는 가족들에게 호응을 얻고 있습니다.

서울 살다가 왔는데 10년 살았어요. 어쨌든 제가 귤농장이 있는 것도 아니고 어떤 식으로 귤이 달리는지도 잘 몰랐으니까 이렇게 농장을 알게 돼 나무분양을 받으니까 아들에게도 보여주고 싶고 체험도 하고
또 텃밭도 제공해준다고 하더라고요.


농가 입장에선 회원권 판매로 일정한 소득을 보장받을 수 있습니다.

특히 감귤 수확철 뿐만 아니라 감귤 꽃길 걷기 등 계절별 프로그램을
운영해 회원들의 발길을 꾸준히 이끌어 낼 수 있습니다.

체험농장이 그냥 감귤 따고 가져가는 1회성에 그치다보니까 체험농장이 활성화되지 못하고 있는게 사실입니다. 그래서 저는 감귤나무를 가지고 있는 농장에서 1년 사계절 휴식하고 힐링할 수 있는 공간들을 만들어서 귤이 없는 계절에도 와서 감귤 꽃도 보고 가지도 치고 약도 바르고...
