The Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Council, while reviewing next year's budget, has cut 45.9 billion won through adjustments by standing committees.

By committee, the Environment and City Committee and the Economic Committee for Agricultural, Fishery, Livestock Agriculture, Fisheries each was cut by 12 billion won.
The Culture, Tourism, and Sports Committee’s budget dropped by 8.7 billion won, the Health, Welfare, and Safety Committee by 8.1 billion won, and the Administration and Autonomy Committee by 5.1 billion won.

The major cuts include a 3.6 billion won reduction in funding for low-floor buses to aid those with mobility challenges, a 3.3 billion won decrease in fuel tax subsidies for the freight and bus industries, and a 2.7 billion won cut in subsidies for the purchase of electric cars and motorcycles.

Additionally, another 990 million won for child health experience activities was dropped and 1 billion won for the Seogwipo Glocal Festa was eliminated.

제주도의회가
내년 예산안을 심사하고 있는 가운데
상임위원회별 계수조정을 통해 459억원을 삭감했습니다.

상임위원회별로 보면
환경도시위원회와 농수축경제위원회가 각각 120억원,
문화관광체육위원회 87억원,
보건복지안전위원회 81억원,
행정자치위원회 51억원 입니다.

주요 삭감 내용을 보면
교통약자를 위한 저상버스 도입 36억원과
화물운수업계와
버스업계 유류세 연동 보조금 33억원,
전기차와 전기이륜차 구입 보조금 27억원 등입니다.


또 아동건강체험활동비 지원금 9억 9천만원과
서귀포 글로컬페스타 개최 비용 10억원 전액을 삭감했습니다.
