The consumer price inflation rate in the Jeju region, which had been on the rise, showed signs of slowing down last month.

According to the Jeju Office of the Honam Regional Statistical Office, the consumer price inflation rate in the province last month was 2.5%, a 0.5 percentage point decrease compared to the previous month.

This slowdown in the consumer price inflation rate in Jeju is the first in four months since July.

Nevertheless, the living cost index, comprising high-expenditure items and mirroring the average consumer's price perception, rose by 3.3%. Moreover, agricultural products experienced a notable 13.4% increase compared to last year, indicating a continued financial strain on households.

지난 7월 이후 4개월 만입니다.

다만 지출 비중이 높은 품목들로 구성돼
서민들의 체감물가를 보여주는 생활물가 상승률은
3.3%를 기록했고
농산물도 1년 전보다 13.4% 큰 폭으로 오르는 등
서민 가계 부담은 지속될 것으로 보입니다.
