Jeju City plans to construct a new wildfire response center next year with a budget of 400 million won.

The site designated for the new construction is state-owned land in A-ra 1-dong, Jeju City, managed by the Korea Forest Service. The center will include a wildfire control system room, a garage for fire trucks, and a storage warehouse for fire fighting equipment.

Jeju City expects that the construction of this wildfire response center will allow for the efficient management and quick response to forest fire disasters by centralizing facilities, systems, firefighting personnel, and equipment, which are currently dispersed.
