The survey results on school violence in the Jeju region have revealed a slight increase in the number of students who have experienced victimization.

According to a survey on school violence released by the Jeju Provincial Office of Education, a total of 1,435 students, which is 2.9% said they have experienced school violence. This is a 0.3 percentage point increase compared to the first survey conducted last year.

In terms of types of victimization, while verbal violence decreased by 4.9 percentage points, both physical violence and group ostracism increased by 1.9 percentage points.

Among the students who admitted to perpetrating violence said there was no particular reason or it was done for fun.

Meanwhile the proportion of students who helped the victim or reported the incident was 69.2%.

제주도교육청이 발표한 학교폭력 실태조사 결과에 따르면
학교폭력 피해 경험이 있다는 응답률은 2.9%, 1천435명으로
지난해 1차 조사때와 비교해 0.3%포인트 증가했습니다.


피해 유형별로는 언어폭력이 4.9%포인트 줄었지만
신체폭력과 집단 따돌림은 모두 1.9%포인트 늘었습니다.

가해 경험이 있다고 답한 학생 중 가해 이유로는
'장난이나 특별한 이유 없다'는 응답이 가장 많았습니다.

학교폭력을 목격한 뒤 피해학생을 도와주거나 신고하는 등
행동을 한 학생 비율은 69.2%로 나타났습니다.
