Jeju is experiencing a significant outbreak of influenza, prompting heightened attention to health management.

According to the Province, the current rate of influenza-like illness in the region is 116.3 per 1,000 people, which is 17 times higher than the epidemic threshold of 6.5.

This rate is nearly twice the national average of 61.3.

The spread of the virus has been rapid and alarming. The number of cases was 52 in the first week of November, increased to 85 in the third week, 109 in the last week, and is now approaching 120.

In response to this, the Province is urging compliance with personal hygiene rules, along with vaccination, to prevent the spread of influenza.

제주에서 인플루엔자가 크게 유행하면서
건강관리에 각별한 주의가 요구되고 있습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면
현재 도내 인플루엔자 의사환자는
1천명당 116.3명으로
유행기준인 6.5명에 17배 많게 나타나고 있습니다.


전국 평균 61.3명에 비해서도 2배 가까이에 이르고 있습니다.

특히 11월 첫째주만 하더라도 52명이었으나
11월 셋째주 85명,
마지막 주 109명에 이어
최근 120명에 육박하며
한달만에 2배 이상 늘어나는 등 확산정도가 심각해지고 있습니다.

이에따라 제주도는
인플루엔자 감염 예방을 위해
접종과 함께
개인위생수칙의 준수를 당부하고 있습니다.
