Winter vegetables are being harvested in full swing in the province, however the island is faced with difficulties in supply control and price formation due to overproduction and a slump in consumption.

Recent wholesale prices of winter radishes and carrots marked 8,400 KRW and around 23,000 KRW for a 20kg box, which is a 29% and 43% decrease compared to last year, respectively.

Prices for onions, peeled garlic, and cabbage have also fallen, ranging from a decrease of 0.7% to as much as 20%.

Thus, Jeju is launching a campaign to encourage local residents, public officials, and social groups to purchase local winter vegetables. In addition the province will also promote discount sales at NongHyup Hanaro Marts.

8,400원과 2만 3천원대로
지난해 보다 29%, 43% 떨어졌습니다.

양파와 깐마늘, 양배추 역시
적게는 0.7%에서 많게는 20% 하락하고 있습니다.

제주도는
도내 공직자, 사회단체 등을 중심으로
지역주민 월동채소 사주기 운동을 펼치고
농협 하나로마트를 활용한
현장 할인판매행사를 추진하기로 했습니다.
