With the rising popularity of Personal Mobility Devices (PMDs), there's an increasing need for awareness about the potential accidents involving these devices.

According to the Jeju Regional Headquarters of the Road Traffic Authority, there have been 78 traffic accidents involving PMDs in Jeju from 2020 to the present. As a result of these accidents, one person has died, and 80 others have been injured.

In response to these incidents, the authorities are emphasizing the importance of safety measures. They strongly advise users to always wear helmets, ride the PMDs individually (one person per device), and remember that driving these devices under the influence of alcohol is subject to the same legal penalties as driving other vehicles.

The public is urged to exercise extreme caution and prioritize safety while operating PMDs.

이에 대한 사고도 잇따라 주의가 요구되고 있습니다.

최근 지난 2020년부터 3년간 제주에서 발생한
개인형 이동장치 교통사고는 78건으로
이로 인해 1명이 숨지고 80명이 다친 것으로 집계됐습니다.

이에따라
반드시 안전모를 착용하고 한 명만 타야 하며
개인형 이동장치 역시
음주운전이 적용되는 만큼
안전한 운행에 각별한 주의를 당부했습니다.
