Jeju City Invests 6.3 Bil to Protect Livestock

Jeju City is investing 6.3 billion won to maintain its status as a disease-free zone for livestock diseases by establishing a permanent quarantine system.

Firstly, 2.2 billion won will be allocated to establish a constant quarantine system. This includes operating a year-round situation room and running port and key disinfection facilities to prevent the introduction of livestock diseases.

Additionally, timely measures will be taken for controlling vectors of livestock diseases and administering preventive vaccinations. Regular disinfection will also be conducted in areas vulnerable to epidemics.

Moreover, with an allocation of 1 billion won in special grants, an emergency quarantine equipment and quarantine materials management infrastructure center is planned to be completed by July.

악성가축전염병 청정지역 유지에 63억원을 투입합니다.

우선 상시방역체계 구축을 위해 22억 원을 투입해
연중 상황실을 운영하고
항만과 거점소독 시설을 운영해 가축질병 유입 차단에 나섭니다.

또 가축전염병 매개충 방제와 예방주사를 적기에 실시하고
방역취약 지역을 주기적으로 소독하기로 했습니다.

이와함께
지역현안 특별교부세 10억 원을 교부받아 긴급방역용 장비와 방역물품 관리를 위한 방역인프라센터를 오는 7월 전에 준공할 예정입니다.
