This year, the number of students in the Jeju area has decreased by over 1,700 compared to the previous year.

According to the Jeju Provincial Office of Education (POE), for the 2024 school year, the total number of students is 83,370, which is a decrease of 1,776 students compared to the previous year.

As a result, the total number of classrooms has also decreased to 3,814 classrooms, which is 14 classrooms less than the previous year.

By grade, the number of kindergarten to middle school students has decreased, while the number of high school students and students with disabilities has increased.

2024학년도 학급 편성 결과
전체 학생 수는 8만 3천 370명으로
전년 대비
1천 776명 감소했습니다.

이에 따라 전체 학급수도 3천 814학급으로
전년보다
14학급이 줄었습니다.

학년별로는 유치원생과 초등학생, 중학생은 줄어든 반면
고등학생 수와
장애 학생 수는 증가한 것으로 나타났습니다.
