Jeju City has been selected for the government's Traditional Market and Shopping Street Revitalization Support Program, securing 300 million won in national funding.

As a result, activation projects will be launched for the Dongmun Public Market's Youth Mall to enhance its self-sustainability and competitiveness.

Support programs will include merchant education and joint programs, for five markets, including the Joongang Underground Shopping Mall and Chilseong-ro(칠성로) Shopping Street.

Jeju City expects that this tailored support program will boost the self-sustainability and competitiveness of traditional markets and shopping streets.

상점가 활성화 지원사업에 선정돼
국비 3억 원을 확보했습니다.

이에 따라
동문공설시장 청년몰의 자생력과 경쟁력을 높이기 위한
활성화 사업을 추진하고

중앙지하상점가와 칠성로상점가 등 5개 시장에는
상인교육과 공동마케팅, 시장매니저 사업 등
시장경영패키지 지원사업을 진행합니다.

제주시는 이번 지원사업이
시장별 특성을 고려해 필요한 분야의 사업을 추진하는 만큼
전통시장과 상점가의
자생력 강화와
경쟁력 확보에 기여할 것으로 보고 있습니다.
