Jeju Island is taking steps to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in order to enhance the environmental value of agriculture and conserve soil ecosystems.

To achieve this goal, a dedicated team will be established to inspect compliance with fertilizer and nutrient prescriptions among farmers and to strengthen education and promotion efforts.

Furthermore, a data utilization project will link pesticide usage, production quantities, and agricultural product quality data.

Jeju Island has declared this year as the "Year of Practice for Reducing Chemical Fertilizer and Pesticide Use" and plans to conduct education and campaigns to promote these practices.
