The Province is expanding the parental childcare leave system this year.

The eligibility criteria for this program will be extended from children under 12 months old up to 18 months old, and the support duration will be increased from the initial 3 months to 6 months.

Additionally, the monthly maximum amount for support will be expanded from 3 million won to 4.5 million won.

If both parents use this leave for 6 months each, they can receive a total childcare leave payment of up to 19.5 million won, or 39 million won in total.

Furthermore, small and medium-sized enterprise employers who grant parental leave will receive a support grant of up to 2 million won per month, up from the previous 300,000 won.


부모 육아휴직제도 확대…최대 3,900만 원 지원

제주특별자치도가
올해 부모 육아휴직제도를 확대 시행합니다.

적용대상을
생후 12개월 이내 자녀에서 18개월로,
지원기간을
첫 3개월에서 6개월로 늘립니다.

또 상한액을
월 최대 300만 원에서 450만 원으로 확대 적용합니다.

부모가 각각 6개월을 사용할 경우
최대 1천 950만 원씩
3천 900만 원의 육아휴직 급여를 지원받을 수 있게 됩니다.

이와 함께 육아휴직을 허용한 중소기업 사업주에게
육아 휴직 부여 지원금으로
매월 30만 원에서 최대 200만 원을 지원합니다.
