On the 19th anniversary of the designation as the "Island of World Peace," Governor Oh Young-hoon announced that Jeju Island’s commitment to ending conflicts and disputes.

He emphasized expanding the global network of peace cities beyond Europe and Asia to the Pacific region and expanding the Jeju Forum as a representative platform for local diplomacy and peace discourse.

With regards to Jeju as a candidate host for APEC 2025, Oh expressed that it would help spread hope worldwide with the shared values of world peace and building a sustainable future.

성장시켜나가겠다고 강조했습니다.

특히 2025년 APEC 정상회의가 세계평화의 섬 제주에서 열린다면
세계 평화의 가치를 공유하며
지속 가능한 미래로 나아가려는
세계인의 희망이 번져나가게 될 것으로 확신한다고 강조했습니다.
