The average annual salary of workers in the Jeju region was reported to be the lowest in the nation.

According to the National year-end income tax filing statistics for the year 2022, the average total salary per person for workers in Jeju Island was 35.7 million won, which was the lowest in the nation.

On the other hand, the average annual salary for the top 0.1% of income earners in the region was approximately 1.06 billion won, ranking second highest after Seoul, which recorded about 1.38 billion won.

Furthermore, there was an income gap of 11 times between the top 20% and the bottom 20% of income earners in the region.

제주도내 근로자 1인당 총급여액은 3천570만원으로
전국 17개 시도 가운데 가장 낮았습니다.

반면
도내 근로소득 상위 0.1%의 평균 연봉은 10억 600여만 원으로
13억 8천여만 원을 기록한 서울에 이어 두 번째로 높았습니다.

아울러 도내 소득 상위 20%와
하위 20%는 11배의 소득 격차를 보였습니다.
