For the upcoming new school year, 55 elementary schools in the Jeju region will operate Neulbom schools.

According to the Jeju Provincial Office of Education, 55 elementary schools, which account for 48% of all elementary schools, will implement Neulbom schools for first graders.

The remaining schools will start operating from the second semester, and next year, it will be expanded to second graders. By 2026, it will cover all grades in elementary schools.

Neulbom schools provide childcare programs until 8 PM, and participation in the program for up to 2 hours a day is free of charge.

The Jeju POE plans to allocate an additional 55 temporary teachers and establish support offices for the Neulbom schools.



늘봄학교 55개교 우선 시행…2학기부터 전 학교

다가오는 신학기 늘봄학교를 운영하는 제주지역 초등학교는 55군데로 확정됐습니다.

제주도교육청에 따르면
초등학교 1학년을 대상으로 늘봄학교를 운영하는 학교는
전체 초등학교의 48%인 55개교로 나타났습니다.

나머지 학교들은 2학기부터 운영하며
내년에는 초등학교 2학년까지,
2026년에는 초등학교 모든 학년으로 확대됩니다.

늘봄학교는 저녁 8시까지 돌봄 프로그램을 운영하며
매일 2시간 이내 프로그램을 무료로 참여 가능합니다.

제주도교육청은 기간제 교사 55명을 추가 배치하고
학교에 늘봄지원실을 설치해 운영할 방침입니다.
