Crackdowns will be conducted on illegal lane changing near the Eajoro(애조로) road and Nohyeong(노형) Intersection.

The Provincial Police will install two unmanned enforcement devices near the Aejoro (애조로) and Nohyeong Intersections and conduct a guidance period for three months, with full scale enforcements from May 20th and onwards.

Fines worth 70,000 won for passenger cars and 80,000 won for vans will be imposed If caught driving illegally on the shoulder of the road.

The sections near Aejoro (애조로) and Nohyeong (노형) Intersection have been continually raising safety concerns due to vehicles illegally uing the shoulder of the roads to avoid traffic congestion during commuting hours.



애조로 갓길 '얌체운전' 단속…최대 8만 원 과태료

애조로 노형교차로 인근에서 빈번히 발생하는
갓길 얌체운전에 대한 단속이 이뤄집니다.

제주특별자치도 자치경찰단은
애조로 노형교차로 부근에
무인단속장비 2대를 설치하고
3개월 동안 계도기간을 거쳐
오는 5월 20일부터 본격적인 단속을 실시합니다.

갓길 얌체운전을 하다 적발되면
승용차는 7만 원,
승합자동차는 8만 원의 과태료가 부과됩니다.

애조로 노형교차로 구간은
출퇴근 시간 교통 체증을 피해
갓길로 불법 운행하는 차량들로
안전사고 문제가 계속해서 제기돼 왔습니다.
