This year, Jeju National University, Jeju Tourism College, and Jeju Halla University, have been selected for the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs' 'Thousand Won Breakfast' support program.

Funds have been raised from 1,000 won to 2,000 won, and to accommodate the winter break schedule, the program duration, initially set until November 30th, is extended until December 20th.

Jeju Province also supports 2,000 won per meal, allowing university students to utilize breakfast meals worth 6,000 won for only 1,000 won.

Last year, the number of students using the breakfast service at the three universities in Jeju reached over 35,000.



'천원의 아침밥' 도내 3개 대학 선정...지원 확대

올해 천원의 아침밥 지원 사업에
제주대학교와 관광대,
한라대 등
제주지역 3개 대학이 모두 선정됐습니다.

올해 지원단가는
기존 1식에 1천 원에서 2천 원으로 상향됐으며
11월 30일까지였던 사업기간을
겨울방학 일정을 감안해
12월 20일까지로 연장됐습니다.

제주도 역시 1식에 2천 원을 지원함으로써
대학생들은 1천 원만 부담하면
6천 원 상당의 아침밥을 이용할 수 있게 됐습니다.

지난해 제주지역 3개 대학에서
아침식사를 이용한 학생은 3만 5천 여명에 이르고 있습니다.
