Compensation for Additional Delivery Charges for Parcels


The cost paid by Jeju residents as additional delivery charges for parcels ranges from 2,000 won to more than 15,000 won per parcel.


According to the Jeju Research Institute, it is estimated that residents spend over 100 billion won annually just on additional delivery charges.


To alleviate the burden on residents who pay more logistics costs compared to the mainland areas, a pilot project for life logistics fare support in island areas was conducted in September last year.

About 28,000 residents received support totaling approximately 780 million won.

The province has allocated a budget of 65 billion won to continue supporting additional delivery charges for parcels this year.
Unlike the short duration last year, the support project will accept applications throughout the year from this month until December 20, with a limit of 400,000 won per person.

Especially from this year, even if the additional delivery charge exceeds 3,000 won, full compensation will be provided upon proof of the actual additional costs, and the scope of benefits has been expanded to include not only the received parcels but also the delivery charges for the dispatched parcels.

Applications can only be made through community centers in towns and villages, and unlike last year, copies of the parcel consignment note or parcel usage completion details under one's name must be submitted.

As an island, we have been economically disadvantaged due to additional delivery charges for parcel services. Since this is a project that benefits the residents, we hope that residents do not forget and apply extensively.


However, the application for additional delivery charge support online is planned to start around June, after building a dedicated webpage to resolve various inconveniences encountered during last year's pilot operation.



택배 추가배송비 실비 보상…발송도 지원

제주도민들이
택배 추가 배송비로 지불하는 비용은
1건당 적게는 2천 원에서 많게는 1만 5천원 이상입니다.

제주연구원에 따르면
도민들은 택배 추가 배송비로만
연간 1천억 원을 더 지출하는 것으로 추정되고 있습니다.

이 같이 내륙지역에 비해
더 많은 물류비를 지불하고 있는
도민들의 부담을 덜기 위해
지난해 9월 시범 실시된
섬 지역 생활물류 운임지원 사업.

2만 800여 명의 도민에게
7억 8천여만 원이 지원됐습니다.

제주도는 65억 원의 예산을 편성해
올해도 택배비 추가배송비 지원을 이어가기로 했습니다.

지난해 짧았던 기간과 달리
이달부터 오는 12월 20일까지
1인당 40만 원 한도 내에서
지원사업을 연중 신청 받기로 했습니다.

특히 올해부터
추가배송비가 3천 원을 초과하더라도
실제 추가 비용을 증빙하면 전액을 받을 수 있고
혜택 범위도 확대돼
받는 택배뿐 아니라
보내는 택배에 대한 배송비도 지원대상에 포함됐습니다.

우선 읍면동 주민센터를 통해서만 신청이 가능한데
지난해와 달리
본인 명의로 이용한
택배 운송장 사본 또는
택배 이용완료 내역 등을 함께 제출해야 합니다.

빠르면 6월쯤 시작할 계획입니다.
