To commemorate the unnamed victims of the April 3 Incident, the Province will seal the memorial tablets at the Altar of Remembrance in the 4.3 Peace Park.

Tablets of nameless spirits will be installed in the Memorial Tablet Annex within the Peace Park and will serve as a space for commemorating the yet-to-be-determined victims of the April 3 Incident.

According to the Jeju 4.3 Incident truth investigation report, between 25,000 and 30,000 people are estimated to have been sacrificed during the April 3 Incident. As of now, only 14,800 victims have been identified.

무명신위 위패조형물을 제막합니다.

무명신위 위패조형물은
평화공원 내 위패봉안실에 설치되며
아직 결정되지 못한 4.3 희생자의 추모공간으로 활용됩니다.

제주 4.3사건진상보고서에 따르면
4.3 당시 제주에서
2만 5천에서 3만여명이 희생된 것으로 추정되고 있지만
현재까지
1만 4천 800명만 희생자로 결정돼 있습니다.
