Last month, while the number of employed individuals in the region increased by 7,000, there continues to be a downward trend in employment among those in their 20s.

According to the Jeju Office of the Honam Regional Statistics Office, the number of employed individuals in the province last month reached 398,000, an increase of 7,000 compared to the same month last year, marking a consecutive increase for two months.

Examining the increase in employment by age group, those aged 60 and above saw the largest increase with 7,000, while those in their 20s decreased by 7,000, marking a continuous decline for nine months.

The increase in employment among the elderly population, influenced by employment initiatives, contrasts with the stagnant job market for younger generations due to a lack of quality jobs and the declining population of young individuals.

청년층 채용시장은 얼어붙은 것으로 분석되고 있습니다.
