Advanced Patrol Vessels Commissioned

As such, new patrol vessels have been assigned to ensure the safety of the waters around Jeju.

The newly deployed vessels include two patrol ships, one 200-ton and one 100-ton, and a 500-ton tug.


Due to the aging of existing patrol boats, new vessels have been introduced to take over maritime surveillance, crime prevention, and ship towing in the northern waters of Jeju.

Ferries, guide boats, and recreational vessels are frequently operating here, and the risk of marine accidents is always present, especially under unfavorable weather conditions. Under such circumstances, it was necessary to have advanced ships capable of ensuring the safety of Jeju's waters.

Patrol Ship 210, a 200-ton vessel, is responsible for the coastal patrol of the inner seas and is more than twice the size of existing ships, capable of navigating up to about 1,100 km at once.

The ship is equipped with thermal imaging cameras, allowing for search and other operations at night.


The criminal operations boat, tasked with policing illegal fishing and other duties, can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h, enabling quick enforcement and arrest of maritime crimes.

이처럼 제주 바다에서의 안전을 책임지는 경비함정이
제주 해역에 새롭게 배치됐습니다.

이번에 배치된 함정은
2백 톤과 1백 톤급 경비함정,
그리고 5백 톤급 예인정 등 모두 3척.

기존 경비정의 노후화로 새로운 함정이 투입돼
제주 북부 해역의
해상 경비와 범죄 예방,
선박 예인 등의 업무를 맡게 됩니다.

여객선, 유도선, 레저 기구 등 많은 선박들이 오가고 있고 기상이 좋지 않은 상황에서 무리한 조업으로 인해 해양 사고의 위험성이 늘 존재하고 있습니다. 이러한 여건에서 안전한 제주 바다를 만들기 위한 우수한 성능의 최신 함정이 필요했고.


주 안쪽 바다의 경비를 책임지는 2백 톤급 경비함정 210정은
길이 44m에 폭 7m 규모로
기존에 비해 2배 이상 크고
한 번에 1천 1백여 km까지 운항할 수 있습니다.

특히 열상 감시카메라가 장착돼 있어
야간에도
수색 등의 작업이 가능합니다.

불법 조업 등 단속 업무를 하는 형사기동정은
최대 속력이 시속 80km에 달해
해상 범죄를 신속하게 단속, 검거할 수 있습니다.
