The preliminary blueprint for the Jeju History and Culture Foundation Project, a key promise of the 8th Administration, has been unveiled.

The Province announced that it has completed the research services for the creation of the Samseonghyeol~Sinsan Park historical cultural district and a Jeju History Museum.

The service results proposed a plan to develop Sinsan Park around five themes reflecting lifestyle, Jeju language, the future of Jeju, Jeju villages, and Jeju’s nature.

Additionally, three methods including new developments, expansions, and remodeling centered around the current Folk Natural History Museum were suggested for the Jeju History Museum.

Based on the initial blueprint, Jeju plans to initiate follow-up procedures to develop a more practical plan.

제주 역사 문화 기반 구축 사업의 밑그림이 공개됐습니다.

제주특별자치도는 삼성혈~신산공원 일대 역사문화지구 조성과 가칭 제주역사관 건립을 위한 연구 용역을 마무리했다고 밝혔습니다.

용역 결과 신산공원을 제주인의 삶과 제주어, 제주미래, 제주마을, 제주 자연 다섯가지 테마로 조성하는 안이 제시됐습니다.

또, 제주역사관은 현재 민속자연사 박물관을 중심으로
신축과 증축, 리모델링 등 세가지 건립 방식이 제시됐습니다.

제주도는 이번 기본 구상을 토대로 후속 절차에 착수해 보다 실천적인 계획을 마련해 나갈 방침입니다.
