The Province has decided to strengthen exchange and cooperation with Phnom Penh Province, the capital of Cambodia, following its ties with Siem Reap, Cambodia's representative tourist city.

Governor Oh Young-hun, who recently paid a visit to Cambodia, signed an exchange agreement with Phnom Penh Province.

Under this agreement, the two regions will continue to collaborate in various fields, starting with tourism, and expanding to primary industries, energy industries, culture, and trade.

Prior to this, Jeju Province signed an exchange agreement with Siem Reap Province in Seoul last month.

제주특별자치도가 캄보디아의 대표 관광도시인
시엠립주에 이어 수도 프놈펜주와 교류 협력을 강화하기로 했습니다.
캄보디아를 방문한 오영훈 지사는 최근 현지에서 프놈펜주와 실무교류 협약을 체결했습니다.
이번 협약에 따라 두 지역은 관광을 시작으로 1차산업과 에너지산업, 문화, 통상 등 다양한 분야에서 교류 협력을 이어가기로 했습니다.
제주도는 이에 앞서 지난달 서울에서캄보디아 시엠립주와 실무교류 협약을 체결한 바 있습니다.
