The number of foreign tourists visiting Jeju has exceeded 100,000 for six consecutive months.

According to the Jeju Tourism Association, the number of foreign visitors to Jeju this month is tentatively counted at about 103,000, surpassing 100,000 every month this year.

This is the first time since 2019, before the spread of COVID-19, that the number of foreign tourists entering Jeju has exceeded 100,000 for six consecutive months.

This trend is attributed to the expansion of direct flight routes to Jeju Airport and the continuous arrival of cruises.

Additionally, with the resumption of direct flights between Jeju and Tokyo starting next month, and the resumption or increase of several direct routes from China, more foreign tourist arrivals are expected to continue for the time being.

이달 들어 제주를 찾은 외국인 수는
10만 3천여 명으로 잠정 집계됐으며
올들어 매달 10만 명을 넘어섰습니다.

제주 입도 외국인 관광객이 6개월 연속 10만 명을 넘은 것은 코로나19 확산 이전인 2019년 이후 처음입니다.

이 같은 회복세는 제주공항 직항노선 확대와
크루즈 입항이 이어지는 효과로 분석되고 있습니다.

또 다음 달부터 제주와 일본 도쿄를 잇는 직항노선이 재개되고 중국 여러 직항노선이
재개되거나 증편을 앞두고 있어
당분간 외국인 관광객 호조는 이어질 전망입니다.
