Jeju Special Self-Governing Province has earned a top-tier ranking for six straight years in the Regional Gender Equality Index by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.

In particular, Jeju achieved the highest scores among the 17 regions nationwide in three of the eight evaluation indicators, which include economic activity, family, and cultural information.

In the evaluation, the regions that received top-tier rankings among the 17 local governments nationwide included Jeju, Seoul, Gwangju, Daejeon, and Sejong.

Notably, Jeju has been the only region to be selected continuously for the top tier for six years from 2017 to 2022, achieving a significant accomplishment.



제주 성평등지수 6년 연속 상위 등급 '전국 유일'

제주특별자치도가 여성가족부의 지역성평등지수 측정 결과에서 6년 연속 상위등급을 받았습니다.

특히 평가지표 8개 가운데 경제활동과 가족, 문화정보 등 3개 분야에서 전국 17개 지역 가운데 가장 높은 점수를 받은 것으로 나타났습니다.

이번 평가에서 전국 17개 지방자치단체 중 상위 등급을 받은 지역은 제주와 서울, 광주, 대전, 세종 등 5곳이며,
제주는 2017년부터 2022년까지
유일하게 6년 연속 상위지역에 선정되는 쾌거를 거뒀습니다.
