The Coast Guard is conducting special enforcement on all vessels, including fishing boats and water leisure equipment, for operation under the influence of alcohol until August.

The standard for drunk boating enforcement is a blood alcohol concentration of 0.03% or higher, and those found with a level of 0.2% or higher may face up to 5 years in prison or a fine of up to 30 million won.

In the past three years, the Coast Guard has caught 14 cases of drunk boating, with about half of these incidents occurring during the summer months.



해경, '여름철 집중' 선박 음주 운항 단속

해경이 8월까지
낚시어선이나 수상레저기구 등
모든 선박을 대상으로 음주 운항 특별 단속을 실시합니다.

음주운항 단속 기준은
혈중알콜농도 0.03% 이상이며
0.2% 이상일 경우에는
5년 이하 징역 또는 3천만 원 이하 벌금형에 처해질 수 있습니다.

최근 3년 동안 해경이 적발한 음주 운항은 14건으로
이 가운데 절반 가량은 여름철에 집중됐습니다.
