As the Jeju Provincial Office of Education has announced a legislative notice on an organizational restructuring plan that includes the establishment of a political Deputy Superintendent position has sparked significant backlash.

Several parent and educational associations, along with the Jeju Alternative Education Council, have released a statement questioning the need for a Deputy Superintendent for Political Affairs.
While citing the educational office’s need for Deputy Superintendent for Political Affairs to implement policies like the Neulbom School and early education integration, they question why the position is needed exclusively in Jeju.

Furthermore, they criticized that the research was completed in just three months, suggesting it a pre-determined agenda and asserting that the Superintendent of Education is fostering conflict within the local community.

또 조직개편 연구 용역이 불과 석달 만에 완료되는 등 정해진 답안을 추진하는 듯한 모습이라며 교육감이 도민 사회에 갈등을 조장하고 있다고 주장했습니다.
