Jeju has seen an increase in cases of pertussis,
an acute respiratory infection.

According to the Province, 58 patients have been reported in Jeju this year, 55 of which were concentrated in this month alone.

The rise in cluster infections in schools has been particularly notable. Jeju's public health authorities have urged personal hygiene measures, including mask-wearing and hand washing.

They also advise anyone with symptoms such as coughing to immediately visit a medical facility for consultation.
