In the future, the birth of a child will be automatically registered without the need for parents to report it.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced the implementation of the 'Birth Notification System,' which automatically registers the births of all children born in medical institutions.

Under this system, medical institutions will register birth information, including the birth details and the mother's name, within two weeks. This information will be automatically sent to local governments.

Previously, if parents or other responsible parties failed to report a birth, the child could fall into a management blind spot of the local government, leaving them unprotected.

태어나는 아동의 출생이 자동 등록됩니다.

보건복지부는
의료기관에서 태어난
모든 아동의 출생을 자동 등록하는
'출생 통보제'를 시행한다고 밝혔습니다.

이에 따라 앞으로 의료기관이
출생 사실과 생모의 이름 등을 포함한 출생 정보를
2주 안에 시스템에 등록하면
지자체로 관련 내용이 자동 통보됩니다.

기존에는
부모 등 신고 의무자가 출생 신고를 하지 않을 경우
해당 아동은
지자체 관리 사각지대에 놓여
보호 받지 못하는 문제가 제기됐습니다.
