Streamlined Bus Routes Begin in August
Bus No. 326 connects Halla Arboretum to (신사동) Sinsa-dong in (함덕) Hamdeok.
The extended journey spans over 60 kilometers, making a round trip through different areas of Jeju City.
However, in light of the significant overlap with other bus routes, exceeding 70%, the route will be discontinued from next month onwards.
The revision proposes merging 58 overlapping or inefficient routes or altering their schedules.
Long-distance routes will also be shortened.
The express route spanning 90 kilometers from Jeju Bus Terminal to Seogwipo Bus Terminal will be divided into two sections: the Jeju City to Daejeong section in Seogwipo and the Seogwipo to Namwon section.
To enhance connectivity between Daejeong and Namwon, an express bus service will be implemented. This new route aims to reduce the service gap and streamline the number of stops to 12, potentially saving about 15 minutes compared to existing mainline buses.
Furthermore, during the morning commute, 10 routes will have an additional 14 buses, and dedicated buses for cruise tourists will operate on a trial basis during the month of August.

This bus route revision is an unavoidable measure to enhance the quality of public transportation services while ensuring financial soundness.
To minimize disruptions for residents caused by the bus revisions, the province has established a dedicated control room to address any potential problems riders may face.
8월부터 버스 노선 개편…일부 폐지·급행 신설
한라수목원을 시작으로 함덕 신사동을 잇는 326번 버스.
왕복 60km가 넘는 장거리 노선으로 제주시내 곳곳을 경유합니다.
하지만 다른 버스와
노선이 70% 이상 중복돼 다음 달부터 폐지됩니다.
개편에 따라
중복 또는 비효율 노선 58개는
통폐합되거나 버스 운행 시간이 조정됩니다.
장거리 노선도 단축됩니다.
제주버스터미널에서 서귀포버스터미널까지
90km의 장거리를 운행하던 급행 노선을
제주시에서 서귀포시 대정,
제주시에서 서귀포시 남원으로 나눠 운행합니다.
대정에서 남원까지는 급행버스를 도입해 공백을 줄이고
정류소를 12개로 간소화해
기존 간선버스보다 15분 정도 운행 시간이 단축될 것으로 예상됩니다.
이 밖에 아침 출근 시간에
10개 노선, 14개 버스를 추가 투입하고
크루즈 관광객을 위한 전용 버스를
8월 한 달 동안만 시범 운영할 계획입니다.
