Jeju City will conduct special inspections of 400 restaurants and lodging facilities popular among tourists this month.

The inspections will focus on appropriate pricing, the display of internal and external price tags, and the presence of unlicensed businesses around tourist areas.

In response to recent complaints about price gouging in seasonal restaurants, the city aims to protect consumer choice by ensuring reasonable pricing and the display of menu photos.

For lodging facilities, inspections will cover room cleanliness and sanitation practices.
