As the summer vacation season peaks, Jeju is experiencing a surge in tourist arrivals this month, and the numbers are continuing to climb.
According to the Jeju Tourism Association, 345,000 tourists visited Jeju between the 1st and 8th of this month, a 7.9% increase compared to the same period last year.
Especially last weekend, 90,000 tourists arrived on Jeju Island over two days, marking the peak of vacation demand.
The Jeju Tourism Association predicts 43,000 visitors to arrive in Jeju last friday and predicts that the number of tourists will continue to exceed the usual level.

여름 휴가철이 무르익으면서
이달 제주를 방문한 관광객도 증가하고 있습니다.

제주도관광협회에 따르면
이달 들어 지난 8일까지 제주를 찾은 관광객은
34만5천명으로
지난해 같은 기간과 비교해 7.9% 늘었습니다.

특히 지난 주말엔
이틀간 9만명의 관광객이 제주로 들어와
휴가 수요가 절정에 달했습니다.

제주도관광협회는
오늘 하루 4만 3천명이 제주를 방문할 것으로 예상하는 등
이번 주말에도
평소보다 많은 관광객의 발걸음이 이어질 것으로 전망했습니다.
