Jeju City will strengthen waste disposal guidance for foreign tourists until next month.

According to Jeju City, the number of illegal waste disposals has surged with the increase in foreign tourists visiting Jeju, particularly in major tourist attractions and around large duty-free shops.

In response, foreign language guides in Chinese and English will be produced and placed in shops frequented by foreign visitors, and personnel will be deployed in areas where illegal dumping is severe.

제주시에 따르면
제주도를 찾는 외국인 관광객이 증가하면서
쓰레기 무단 투기도 급증하고 있고
특히 주요 관광지와
대형 면세점 인근 등 시내 곳곳에서
불법 투기 쓰레기가 발견되고 있습니다.

이에 중국어와 영어 등
외국어 안내문을 제작해
외국인 방문이 많은 상가 등에 비치하고
무단투기가 심각한 곳에는
인력을 배치할 계획입니다.
