With an increase in accidents involving young people using personal mobility (PM) devices, the police are intensifying enforcement and prevention measures.

The Seogwipo Regional Police Division of Jeju's Autonomous Police Force announced plans to conduct traffic safety education at schools and promote awareness on major streets to prevent accidents.
The police will also step up crackdowns on those riding PM devices without helmets, driving on sidewalks, and operating without a license.

Over the past three years, 19 PM-related traffic accidents have occurred in Seogwipo, with 57% of the drivers involved being youths.

학교로 찾아가는 교통안전 교육을 실시하고
시내 주요 거리에서 홍보 활동을 진행한다고 밝혔습니다.

또 안전모를 착용하지 않고 개인형이동장치를 타거나
인도 주행, 무면허 운전 등에 대해 단속을 강화합니다.

한편, 최근 3년 동안
서귀포 지역에서 발생한
개인형 이동장치 교통사고는 모두 19건으로
이 가운데 57%의 운전자가 청소년이었습니다.
