Jeju Province Receives 'Excellent' Grade in 2023

Jeju Special Self-Governing Province received an excellent grade with a score of 92.3 in the 2023 performance evaluation conducted by the Prime Minister's Office.

Among the 22 evaluation indicators, 19 were rated ‘excellent’, and the remaining 3 were rated ‘good’.

The decentralization category achieved the highest score with 93.5 points, followed ‘International Free City and Clean Jeju with 91.9 points.

Major achievements included the expansion of resident autonomy budgets, securing external tax sources, and increasing carbon neutrality points.

이번 평가에서 전체 22개 지표 가운데
19개 우수, 나머지 3개는 양호등급으로 나왔습니다.

이 가운데 지방분권 실현 분야가 93.5점으로 가장 높았고 이어 국제자유도시와
청정제주 분야가 91.9점으로 뒤를 이었습니다.

주요성과로 주민자치 예산 확대와
역외세원 확보, 탄소중립포인트 확대가 꼽히기도 했습니다.
