Jeju Protects Youth from Harmful Environments

Jeju City is conducting a monitoring and protection campaign against harmful environments for youth, from the start of the second semester until September 27th.

To this end, a joint public-private task force has been formed to focus on areas around schools and commercial districts frequented by young people, inspecting for the sale of alcohol or tobacco, the entry of minors into harmful establishments, and their employment in such places.

Last year, Jeju City imposed administrative penalties, including seven fines and six corrective orders, on businesses that violated regulations, such as selling alcohol to minors.

제주시가 2학기 개학을 맞아 다음 달 27일까지 청소년 유해환경 점검과 보호활동을 실시합니다.

이를 위해 민관 합동반을 구성해
학교 주변과 청소년이 많이 모이는 상가 밀집 지역을 중심으로 술이나 담배 판매 행위,
유해업소 청소년 출입과 고용 여부 등을 집중 점검합니다.

제주시는 지난해 청소년 대상 주류 판매 등 위반업소에 7건의 과징금 부과와 6건의 시정명령 등 행정처분을 내렸습니다.
