Last month, while industrial production in the Jeju region decreased, consumption increased.

According to the Jeju Office of Statistics Korea, industrial production last month decreased by 4.4% compared to last year, marking a decline for the third consecutive month.

By industry, the production of beverages and pharmaceuticals increased, while electronics telecommunications, non-metallic minerals, and paper products saw a decrease.

The retail sales index at large stores, which is an indicator of consumption in the region, increased by 4.6%, marking a turnaround to growth for the first time in four months.



7월 광공업 생산 4.4% 감소…소비 증가 전환

지난달 제주지역 광공업 생산이 감소한 반면
소비는 증가 전환했습니다.

지난달 광공업 생산은
지난해 같은 달과 비교해 4.4% 줄며
3개월 연속 감소세를 기록했습니다.

업종별로는
음료와 의약품 등의 생산이 증가했으나
전자·통신과 비금속광물, 종이제품 등에서 감소했습니다.

도내 소비지표인 대형소매점 판매액지수는 4.6% 늘며
4개월 만에 증가 전환했습니다.
