As a high-temperature warning has been in effect in Jeju for a month, the number of farmed flatfish that have died has exceeded 200,000.

According to Jeju Province's report on the damage to fish farms from the heatwave as of the 29th, more than 220,000 flatfish died in over 60 fish farms across the province.

According to seawater temperature data from the Marine and Fisheries Research Institute, the surface water temperature along the coast of Jeju is between 29 and 30 degrees Celsius, and the water temperature at fish farms in Daejeong remains around 30 degrees, which is still high. Additional damage is anticipated.

제주 연안 표층수온은 29도에서 30도 분포를 보이고 있으며
양식장 수온은
대정이 30도 내외로 여전히 높아 추가 피해가 예상되고 있습니다.
