With temperatures consistently exceeding 30 degrees, tropical nights have been occurring around the coastal areas of Jeju.

According to the Jeju Regional Meteorological Administration, the minimum overnight temperatures were recorded as 25.5°C in Jeju City, 25°C in Seogwipo, and 25.4°C in Gosan with tropical nights mostly observed in coastal areas.

In particular, Jeju City recorded 60 tropical nights this summer, the highest number ever recorded.

With heatwave warnings still in effect for coastal regions, extra caution for health management is advised as the hot weather is expected to continue.



밤사이 또 열대야, 제주시 60일 '역대 최다'

연일 30도를 웃도는 늦더위가 이어지는 가운데
밤사이 제주 해안 지역을 중심으로 열대야가 발생했습니다.

제주지방기상청에 따르면 밤사이 최저기온이 제주시 25.5도, 서귀포 25도, 고산 25.4도로
낮 동안 오른 기온이 충분히 떨어지지 못하면서
동부를 제외한 해안 지역에서 열대야 현상이 나타났습니다.

특히 제주시의 경우 올여름 발생한 열대야 일수는 60일로 관측 이래 가장 많았습니다.

해안지역에 또다시 폭염특보가 발효되면서
당분간 더위가 이어질 것으로 보이는 만큼
건강관리에 각별한 주의가 요구되고 있습니다.
