The original opera ‘Lee Jung-seop’ will be staged at Seogwipo Arts Center on October 4th and 5th.

The opera portrays the turbulent life and works of ‘Lee Jung-seop’, including his happier days in Seogwipo.

Originally produced in 2016, it is now in its 8th performance as one of Jeju's signature performances.

The production is drawing attention as it will once again be directed by Yoo Hee-moon (유희문), who directed the earlier operetta of Lee Jung-seop.

다음달 4일과 5일, 서귀포예술의전당 대극장에서 개최됩니다.

오페라 이중섭은 서귀포에서의 행복했던 이중섭의 삶을 비롯해 그의 파란만장한 삶과 작품들을 그린 공연으로 2016년 처음 제작돼 올해로 8회차를 맞고 있는 제주 대표 창작 오페라입니다.

특히 이번 공연은 초창기 오페라타 이중섭 연출을 맡았던
유희문 연출가가 다시 진행해 주목받고 있습니다.
