The Jeju Jeju Fire Department has urged caution regarding safety accidents that frequently occur around the Chuseok holiday.

According to the Fire Department, the average number of traffic accident casualties during the Chuseok holiday in the past five years was 30.8 per day, 6.6 more than usual.

Especially on the day of Chuseok, the average was 34.2 cases, 41.3% higher than usual.

Additionally, 60% of accidents involving weed whackers occurred in September, and incidents of bee stings, exacerbated by continued heat waves, have extended into October.



소방본부, 추석연휴 안전사고 주의 당부…교통사고 비율 높아

제주특별자치도 소방안전본부가 추석명절을 앞두고 주변에서 빈번하게 발생할 수 있는 안전사고에 주의해 줄 것을 당부했습니다.

소방본부에 따르면 최근 5년간 추석연휴에 발생한 교통사고 인명피해는 하루 평균 30.8건으로 평소보다 6.6건 많은 것으로 파악됐습니다.

특히 추석당일은 34.2건으로 평소보다 41.3% 많았습니다.

또 예초기 사고는 60%가 9월에 집중되고
지속적인 폭염으로 벌쏘임 사고도 10월까지 이어지고 있습니다.
