Jeju's request for an exemption from increased emergency room costs was rejected.

The province requested a delay or reconsideration of the increase for five emergency rooms, including Seogwipo, considered a medically underserved area. However, no response was received.

As a result, emergency room fees for mild cases in five locations including Halla University, Jeju National University, Hanmaeum, Jeju Central, and Seogwipo Medical Centers will see an increase from 50-60% to up to 90% of previous medical costs.



'도내 응급실 본인 부담 인상 제외' 불발

제주도가 정부에 도내 응급실 본인부담금 인상 적용을 제외해 달라고 건의했지만 결국 받아들여지지 않았습니다.

의료 취약지역인 서귀포를 포함해 도내 응급실 5곳의 본인부담금 인상을 유예 또는 재검토 해달라고 요청했지만
이와 관련해 회신을 받지 못했습니다.

이에 따라 제주지역에서도 경증 환자가 한라와 제주대, 한마음, 중앙, 서귀포의료원 5곳의 응급실을 이용할 경우 본인 부담금이 종전 의료비의 50 ~ 60%에서 90%까지로 오르게 됩니다.
