Jeju City is conducting a demand survey for foreign seasonal workers to alleviate labor shortages in rural areas for the first half of next year until October 8th.

The application is open to farmers and agricultural corporations in Jeju City who wish to hire foreign seasonal workers, and marriage immigrants who wish to invite relatives within the fourth degree of kinship living in their home country.

Applications can be submitted at local community centers.

Participating farms must provide accommodations, guarantee a minimum number of workdays, and pay at least the minimum wage. Depending on factors such as crop area and elderly farmers, farms can apply for up to 14 workers.

After reviewing the results, the Ministry of Justice will finalize the number of workers who will be assigned to participating farms starting in January next year.




제주시, 내년 상반기 외국인 계절근로자 수요조사

제주시가 다음 달 8일까지 농촌 인력부족 해소를 위한
내년도 상반기 외국인 계절근로자 수요조사를 실시합니다.

신청 대상은 제주시에 주소를 둔
외국인 계절근로자 고용을 희망하는
농업인과 농업법인, 본국 거주 4촌 이내 친척 초청을 희망하는
결혼이민자 등으로 읍면동 주민센터에서 접수하면 됩니다.

참여 농가는 계절근로자에게 숙소 제공과 최소 근무일수 보장,
최저시급 이상 지급 등 근로조건을 준수해야 하고
작물 재배면적과 고령농 여부 등에 따라 최대 14명까지 신청할 수 있습니다.

제주시는 수요조사 결과를 토대로 법무부 심사를 거쳐 인원이 확정되면 내년 1월부터 참여 농가에 계절근로자를 배치할 계획입니다.
