Three out of ten young regular workers in Jeju earn less than 20 million won annually, according to a report.

The Jeju Office of Statistics released data on "Changes in Jeju's Youth Generation Through Statistics," which shows that as of 2022, the largest income group (29.8%) among regular workers aged 19-39 in Jeju earned less than 20 million won annually.

This is 5.4 percentage points higher than the national average.
In contrast, only 12.6% of regular workers earned over 50 million won annually, which is 10.2 percentage points lower than the national average.



청년 상시근로자 30% '연소득 2천만원 미만'

제주도내 청년 상시근로자 10명 가운데 3명은
연소득이 2천만원 미만인 것으로 나타났습니다.

통계청 제주사무소가 발표한
'통계로 본 제주 청년세대의 변화' 자료에 따르면
지난 2022년 기준
도내 19살 이상 39살까지 청년 상시근로자의
연간 소득 비중은
2천만원 미만이 29.8%로 가장 높았습니다.

전국 평균과 비교해 5.4%포인트 높은 것입니다.

반면 연소득 5천만원 이상
상시근로자는 12.6%로
전국 평균보다 10.2%포인트 낮았습니다.
