The Jeju Maritime Police Station rescued a green sea turtle entangled in a net on the morning of the 25th, around 7:15 AM, in front of the breakwater in Handong-ri, Gujwa-eup.

At the time of rescue, the green sea turtle was reportedly in poor condition, unable to dive on its own.

The Coast Guard plans to hand it over to a protection agency for a thorough examination before deciding on its final release.

해경, 그물 걸린 푸른바다거북 구조·인계

제주해양경찰서는
지난 25일 오전 7시 15분쯤
구좌읍 한동리 방파제 앞에서
그물에 걸린 푸른바다거북을 구조했습니다.

구조 당시 푸른바다거북은
스스로 잠수를 못할 정도로
상태가 좋지 못한 것으로 전해졌습니다.

해경은 보호 기관에 인계해
정밀 검사 이후 최종 방류여부를 결정할 예정입니다.
