Jeju's industrial production increased by 9.8% in August, while consumption slightly declined.

According to the Jeju Office of Statistics Korea, industrial production in Jeju last August rose by 9.8% compared to the previous year, driven by beverages, electricity and gas industries, and pharmaceuticals.

However, industrial shipments decreased by 5.5%, and inventories fell by 3.5%.

The large retail store sales index, a key consumption indicator in Jeju, decreased by 0.5%, reversing growth after just one month.



8월 광공업 생산 9.8% 증가…소비는 감소

지난 8월 도내 광공업 생산은 증가한 반면
소비는 소폭 감소했습니다.

통계청 제주사무소에 따르면 지난 8월 도내 광공업 생산은 음료와 전기·가스업, 의약품 등을 중심으로 지난해 같은 달 대비 9.8% 늘었습니다.

반면 광공업 출하는 5.5%, 재고는 3.5% 각각 감소한 것으로 나타났습니다.

도내 소비지표인 대형소매점 판매액지수는 0.5% 줄며 한 달 만에 감소 전환했습니다.
