The 2024 Jacheongbi Waheul Buckwheat Festival is being held until the 20th in the buckwheat fields of Waheul-ri, Jocheon-eup.

The Waheul Buckwheat Festival takes advantage of buckwheat's ability to be double-cropped and is held twice a year, in spring and autumn.

The festival offers various experiences and performances, including a walking event through the buckwheat flower fields, the sale of traditional buckwheat foods, and activities like making buckwheat pillows.

The spring edition of the Waheul Buckwheat Festival saw great success, attracting around 60,000 tourists.


2024 자청비 와흘메 밀문화제 내일 개막

2024 자청비 와흘메밀문화제가 20일까지 조천읍 와흘리 메밀밭 일대에서 열립니다.

와흘메밀문화제는 이모작이 가능한 메밀의 특성을 살려 봄과 가을 연 2회 진행되며

메밀꽃밭을 배경으로 걷기 행사와 메밀 전통음식 판매, 메밀 베개 만들기 등 각종 체험과 공연행사가 마련됩니다.

지난 봄에 개최된 와흘메밀문화제에는
6만여 명의 관광객이 다녀가며 성황을 이뤄씁니다.
