Large waste disposal requests have steadily increased.

According to Jeju City, the number of large waste items processed from the beginning of this year to last month reached 265,000, which is about an 11% increase compared to the same period last year.

This increase is attributed to rising consumer sentiment due to changes in lifestyle patterns and the increasing closure rates of food and accommodation businesses.

Large waste disposal requests can be submitted to local town offices or online to receive a disposal certificate, which should be attached before disposal. Small appliances can be disposed of for free at nearby recycling centers.

대형폐기물 배출신청이 꾸준히 증가하는 것으로 나타났습니다.

제주시에 따르면 올들어 지난달까지 신고 처리된 대형폐기물은 26만 5천여 건으로
지난해 같은 기간보다 11% 정도 증가했습니다.

이는 생활패턴 변화로 인한 소비 심리 상승과
음식, 숙박업의 폐업률 증가가 원인인 것으로 분석되고 있습니다.

대형폐기물 배출 신청은 읍면동 주민센터나 누리집을 통해
신고필증을 받아 부착해 배출하면 되며 소형가전인 경우 가까운 재활용도움센터에서 무상 배출이 가능합니다.
