As a result of the President’s People’s Forum, government support is now available for battery recycling.

According to the province, the Ministry of Environment will conduct a pilot project using discarded batteries in energy-poor rural areas in Jeju, with 2.4 billion KRW in national funding allocated over three years starting next year.

In addition, discussions are underway regarding national support for the electric vehicle battery recycling project, which is expected to be established by 2026.



폐배터리 재활용 시범사업 제주서 진행…국비 지원

대통령 민생토론회 성과로 배터리 재활용 분야에서도 정부 지원이 이뤄지고 있습니다.

제주도에 따르면 최근 환경부는 농촌에너지 취약지구에 폐배터리를 활용하는 시범 사업을 제주에서 진행하기로 하고 내년부터 3년동안 국비 24억 원 지원하기로 했습니다.

이와 함께 오는 2026년 구축 예정인 전기차 폐배터리 재활용 사업에 대한 국비 지원도 논의할 계획이라고 밝혔습니다.
